Join Temple Israel’s clergy for a festival service marking the beginning of a new cycle of Torah reading. The service includes blessings for healing and Yizkor memorial prayers. Lunch and Learn follows the service.
The Lunch and Learn topic is After October 7: Rethinking How We Teach About Jews and Antisemitism with Sami Rahamim, JCRC Director of Communications and Community Affairs.
In the wake of October 7, many Jewish students feel pressure to hide their identities amid rising misinformation and polarization. How can we shift this reality? Sami explores a new model for teaching the Jewish story and recurring patterns of antisemitism to foster understanding and resilience.
