Tot Shabbat Service
First Friday of each month, 6:00 p.m.
This Shabbat service is for the young and young at heart - babies to grandparents. It offers stories and music for young and old and is followed by a kid-friendly Shabbat dinner of pizza, salad and dessert. (No reservations necessary, contributions gladly accepted).

Nefesh Shabbat (Shabbat "Unplugged")*
(*Usually) Third Friday of each month, 6:00 p.m.
Nefesh Shabbat is a festive, creative and musical Shabbat experience featuring many instruments. Energizing and fun, this service reinvents spiritual worship.

Congregational Shabbat Morning Service
First Saturday of each month and on all Saturday mornings when there are no B'nai Mitzvah ceremonies scheduled, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Join in a community-led Shabbat morning service. A new setting and a new approach.

Jewish Renewal Service
Second Saturday of each month, 10:30 a.m.
Join us for innovative and inspiring Jewish Renewal services embracing a mixture of heartfelt prayers, chants, meditation, music, movement, d'var Torah and meaningful discussion. Musical instruments are encouraged. Jewish Renewal is dedicated to reclaiming the Jewish people's sacred purpose of partnership with the Divine in the inseparable tasks of healing the world (tikkun olam) and healing our hearts (tikkun halev). Jewish Renewal acts to fully include all Jews and all peoples, and seeks to bring creativity, relevance, joy and an all-embracing awareness to spiritual practice and life.

This service is led by members of Shir HaNeshamah ("Song of the Soul") and the Twin Cities Jewish Renewal Community. Services will be in Juster and followed by Kiddush and eco-kosher, vegetarian potluck (organic, vegan food is encouraged).

To learn more, call 612-794-7146 or Terry Gips at 612-374-4765. For general information about Jewish Renewal, please visit www.aleph.org, the web site of Aleph: The Alliance for Jewish Renewal.

Torah Study 101 (The Alef-Bet of Torah Study)
The 4th Saturday of every month, 10:40-11:30 a.m.
We are the People of the Book. We have preserved Torah across time and space. And it is said that Torah preserves us. Please join lay-learners-instructors, Rachael Freed and Steve Levie, on the 4th Saturday of each month at 10:40 for Torah Study for the curious and the inexperienced. We will study Torah and its significance in our lives today.
Prerequisites: ONLY a desire to learn in a relaxed and comfortable setting. NO prior Torah knowledge necessary. NO Hebrew necessary. We'll conclude at 11:30, just in time to pick up kids from religious school.

6 p.m. Daily Worship Services
Saturday-Thursday
This 15 minute service is volunteer led. Temple Israel is one of the few Reform congregations that offers its membership a daily minyan worship opportunity, of particular meaning to those saying kaddish in memory of a loved one.

In addition to our inspirational Yom Kippur healing service, we have periodic healing services throughout the year, open to members of the community-at-large. A video of "A Service of Healing" is available with an accompanying booklet. Please call (612) 377-8680 for additional information about the video.

Several times a year our Sisterhood offers a women's Rosh Chodesh celebration, which combines prayer, study, song and dance, as together we explore this ancient/renewed tradition.

The students and teachers of our Religious School share together in a weekly service, where our students have the opportunity to learn as they pray and to take part in leading the services together with members of the clergy and educators.
