Rabbi
Jared Saks is a 2005 graduate
of HUC-JIR in New York City.
In addition to participating
in services and life cycle
events, Rabbi Saks focuses
on our younger congregants--from
working with our youth programs
to doing outreach for college
students to engaging 20-
and 30-somethings in Temple
life.
Rabbi
Saks grew up in Long Valley,
a small town in Northwestern
New Jersey. He graduated
cum laude from Florida
State University with
a double major in Religion
and Spanish. During rabbinic
school, he served in his
student pulpit at Beth
Yehuda Synagogue in Lock
Haven, Pennsylvania.
Youth
engagement has been a large
part of Rabbi Saks's experience.
He spent the summers of
2001, 2002 and 2003 at the
Henry S. Jacobs Camp in
Mississippi and was the
Youth Advisor at Temple
Emanu-El in Edison, New
Jersey, for three years.
